TIME TO GROW MORE

To grow means To Assume a Condition or Quality Over Time. This is always irreversible in nature. To grow from one level to another is God’s greatest desire for everyone. But the greatest form of growth He desires the most for everyone is Spiritual Growth. Spiritual Growth Include: Increasing in your knowledge and understanding of God’s Word, Decreasing in your frequency and severity of sin till you reach zero level, increasing in your practice of Christ-like qualities, and increasing in your faith and trust in God. The best summary of spiritual growth however is, becoming more like Jesus Christ. This is because He is the ultimate example of what it truly means to be spiritual.

It is painful this days how Christians who are suppose to have by now become Leaders and authority in the word of God and in the Christian faith, are still the ones been taught the word on a daily bases without any meaningful growth. This is largely due to the fact that many Christians do not possess a true spiritual life through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. This lack of spiritual growth have crippled many Christians to the point that if many are to be ask to write out their CURRICULUM VITAE for Christ, they will lack what to write! This is not suppose to be so, because God through His divine power has given us everything we need for life to grow more daily and live a godly life of productivity through the knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. This is the reason why spiritual growth can only occur in a person who knows the Lord Jesus Christ as his or her personal Saviour and this is because what we need comes “through our knowledge of Him”, which is the key to growing more in faith.

How then do we really grow more in the Christian faith? To really experience spiritual growth you must daily walk in the Spirit. Galatians 5:16-18, 24-26 explains, “So I say, live by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the sinful nature. For the sinful nature desires what is contrary to the sinful nature. They are in conflict with each other, so that you do not do what you want. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under law…” Walking in the Spirit is allowing Him to fill you, control you, and guide you, which are prerequisite for spiritual growth. Failure to rely on the Holy Spirit’s guidance will result in a believer’s stagnation in one place forever! Spiritual growth also comes through our dependency on the STUDY and APPLICATION of God’s Word (2 Timothy 3:16-17). So we need the Holy Spirit’s help and the study and application of God’s Word if we are to ever grow more in the faith which is God’s greatest desire for us all living! May His Spirit help you to overcome sin and steadily become more like our Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ. This is the time to grow more unto becoming like Him our great Reademer.

HAPPINESS

A lot of people have sought for happiness in many ways but all to no avail. When people dream a good dream, they think that they will be happy but that is a mirage of life. Who then has found happiness, where and how?

Napoleon Bonaparte was one of the world’s most powerful military leaders, genius, dictator and administrator (compared only to Alexander the Great and Julius Caesar). Yet, in his last days he confessed sadly “There is not a man who would lay down his life for man”. His great fame and magnificence as a General dwindled to nothing. Ponder!

In money: Stephen Jay Gould was a multi-millionaire rail tycoon, yet on his death bed he summed up his life this way: “I suppose I am the most miserable devil on earth”. Money brings NO happiness to a dying man. You can buy almost anything with money except happiness-here or in eternity. That is the fact!

In pleasure: Lord Byron, the famous English poet, lived for pleasure. Yet he described the end of his life as being filled with nothing but guilt, disease and grief. The pleasure of sin is SORROW. Sorrow inevitably comes at the end of a life wasted in pursuit of pleasure. Be wise!

In fame: A well known politician, who enjoyed more than his fair share of fame, wrote “Youth is a mistake, Manhood a struggle, Old age a regret”. The deceptive bubble of fame had bursted! Anyone who describes his life as “a mistake”, “a struggle” and “a regret” has not found happiness. Watch out!

Unbelief: Voltaire was an outspoken philosopher who scorned Christianity. Near the end of his life, he wrote; “I wish I had never been born”. He discovered that unbelief does not produce happiness. It takes away and gives nothing in return. Instead of the love of God, the saving blood of Christ and the assuring word of God, the unbeliever is left with nothing but uncertain theories, a hopeless death bed and the frightful judgment of God. This famous men confirmed what Solomon the wisest man that ever lived on earth said about man’s futile search for happiness, “So I hated life, For all is vanity and a striving after the wind” (Ecclesiastes 2:17).

Where then is Happiness?

In Christ Alone! The Bible says that “the God of hope will fill you with all joy and peace in believing…”(Romans 15:13). Unhappiness is a consequence of sin. It is the Work of Christ that makes us safe; His Word that makes us sure! “These things have I written unto you that believe on the Name of the Son of God; that ye may KNOW that ye have eternal life” (1 John 5:13). Take another look deep down. Are you unhappy? You might need to retrace some steps you have taken before now in repentance.

You can find happiness and keep it. Those who died in misery did so due to ignorance and unbelief! Their riches, achievements and fame did not help them as death drew nigh. They had refused the Son of God, and therefore they had no Saviour. A dark and uncertain future carries with it unhappiness. If you are in such shoe, all you need is light found only in Christ JESUS! Then If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek (retreat) my face and turn from their wicked (backsliding) ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin (backsliding) and will heal their land (Spiritual life)…2 Chronicles 7:14!!!

NCCF…ONE VERY BIG FAMILY OF GOD!!!

NCCF is an acronym for NIGERIA CHRISTIAN CORPERS’ FELLOWSHIP. NCCF is a Movement (Also a Fellowship). Movement of Nigerian Youth Serving their father land under the platform of National Youth Service corps (NYSC). Movement which came to existence as fulfillment of a prophecy given some years ago by Pa. S.G. Elton, a notable British Missionary. The prophecy sounded like this: “a time is coming when the Nigerian government would be paying the Nigerian Youth to preach the gospel in all nooks and crannies of the country”. This was fulfilled in 1973 at the inception of the National Youth Service Corps Scheme by the General Gowon led government (May God bless General Yakubu Gowon). Unknown to one another, the Christian corps members met for fellowship in their various orientation camps all over Nigeria, they preached to their colleagues in their various orientation camps all over Nigeria. Consequently, they were fulfilling a divine prophesy that came through the lip of an old sage long before their fathers and mothers were born. Divine providence began to bring together the corps members in their various orientation camps all over Nigeria until the name “NIGERIA CHRISTIAN CORPERS’ FELLOWSHIP” was adopted and established in 1983, who are now referred to as “JESUS CORPERS".

Nigeria Christian Corpers’ Fellowship is a movement of Christian corps members who are set out to deliver and capture Nigeria and the entire world for God. We are dedicated to serving God and humanity within our service year and beyond (As Senior Friends and Colleagues). We are a movement that accommodates Christian corps members and helps in focusing their relationship with God irrespective of their genders, tribes and denominations. NCCF is an inter-denominational movement (fellowship) comprising Nigeria Youth Corps members of different denominations, who are popularly referred to as JESUS CORPERS. Aside fellowship, we have a motto which is Our Core Value, Our Core Mission, Our Passion – RURAL RUGGED EVANGELISM.

RURAL RUGGED EVANGELISM

This is when NIGERIA CHRISTIAN CORPERS’ FELLOWSHIP gets into villages and communities (nooks and crannies as prophesied) with the Gospel of Christ, and a lot of spiritual work is done; principalities and powers of darkness are unseated and dislodged. The Gospel is preached in the native language of the people (sometimes using interpreters and films produced in the native language).

During the rural outreach, we organize clean-up exercise, share clothing and foot wears, bath the children, make the children and women's hair, administer free Medical services (with the aid of a team of medical and paramedical specialists who are all NYSC members), and even administer drugs/vaccines to animals.

Also Evangelism Unit of the fellowship maintain a constant visit to prisons, children homes and hospitals to ensure that those staying there are reached with the love of God. We are also involved in neighbourhood evangelism. As a movement we do fellowshiping through our various worship gatherings and conferences (State and National Conference) which help in sustaining corps members in the faith and good morals and thereby creating an environment of love and fellowship for some of the corps members posted to remote/lonely places in Nigeria where there are no churches. As a movement we also live a Communal Life through our Family Houses in all the State Capitals of Nigeria and in the various zonal (Local Government) corpers’ lodges, where NCCF serve as an oasis in the desert for Jesus’ Corpers (National Youth Corps Members), accommodating them at NO COST during their service year.

o you know that no one is created with an inferior ability? That means that in you is a loaded package of God-given potentials? Do you know that you are special? That you have been fearfully and wonderfully made? The psalmist rightly noted “I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvelous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well” (Psalms 139:14).

Let this be firmly established in your mind as you go out today. Talents, gifts and abilities that need to be unlocked and unleashed are embedded in you. All who have ever become anything significant in life are those who were able to discover their God-given potentials, developed and made the best use of them and eventually became fulfilled heroes and heroines. Essentially, then, in your journey to becoming a fulfilled hero or heroine, three things are essential-Aspiration, Perspiration and Inspiration!

• Aspiration – The starting point of any meaningful achievement in life is aspiration. So, if I may ask you, what is your aspiration?  What is the one thing you really want to become in life? One thing you are willing to give up all entanglements in order to achieve? By now you should know and consciously work towards it. It should fire you up and make you dream!

Aspiration helps you to be self-motivated. Nothing ever happens by chance. Without self-motivation you will not go far in life. All those that have made it in life are not picked by the roadside of NFAs! (No Future Ambition). Aspire to get something worthwhile out of yourself; choose to be the best as you go out today!

•  Perspiration – See, it is not enough to dream, to aspire or desire. Many good desires remain mere wishes when diligent effort are not made to bring them to reality. So what do you do after developing a good dreams? You sweat it out through hard work; you put in those extra efforts on your own without being constantly cajoled or coerced by anybody. You wisely invest your time and energy in things and activities that will propel you towards your goals and aspirations in life! Success is never served on a platter of gold; it takes some perspiration!

• Inspiration – Proverbs 2:1-7 says, “MY SON, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee…then shalt thou understand the fear of the Lord, and find the knowledge of God. For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding. He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous: he is a buckler to them that walk uprightly.”

Inspiration has to do with special insight, wisdom, understanding and guidance that comes from God alone. It comes from acknowledging God in all your ways and leaning on Him to reach your destination. No matter how lofty your aspirations are and how hard you perspire to get there, without God’s help and intervention, true success will elude you (Psalm 127:1).

How do you acquaint yourself with God? The starting point is actually receiving Christ into your life as your Saviour and Lord. You also need to learn to trust in God’s help and power and not your intelligence and abilities. “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding” (Proverbs 3:5). You all must know that ultimate success is not measured in academic, material, financial or political attainments but in knowing God, having the hope of eternal life and giving God the preeminent place in your life. “For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?” (Mark 8:36). It shall be well with you all!!!

JUST TEN OUT OF OVER 167 MILLION POPULATIONS!

“And he said, Oh let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak yet but this once: Peradventure TEN shall be found there. And Jehovah said, I will not destroy it for ten’s sake”! Genesis 18:32.

Just imagine where God is looking for TEN, how many has satan gotten in his camp? How many have freely given their allegiance to satan to turn our Nation of over 167 million populations into darkness and destroy our corporate existence and destiny? Politicians with unreasoning ambition to hold to power at whatever cost to human lives and the Nation! Leaders and Elites turned illiterate by demons of greed and self-seeking political alliances. Traditional rulers and regional leaders clinging to traditional hatred and sectional malicious plots against all who don’t speak their tongue or bow to their image god!

Indeed, there are a host of men and women in our Nation who are readily available to demons to ruin our land; they are there in all shades and colours: Thugs, area boys, area fathers and senior almajiris who think nothing to do anything! All these, and so much more are so readily available to satan. Yes, including men of God who know not the way of God; men of God treading the path of ignorance and seeking to drag the Church into politics and voting based on names or geographical origin rather than the vision of God for our land.

If you think of such multitude in satan’s service for his agenda to frustrate God’s prophetic destiny for our land, you may be tempted to think that we are doomed! But then, as usual, even in the face of hell’s worst threats, God comes quietly, and graciously whispers the soothing sound of MERCY! God is saying: I may not get the multitude on my side, like satan often does. But that doesn’t really matter! GIVE ME JUST TEN! JUST TEN RIGHTEOUS SOULS out of the over 167 million populations in your land, and I will neutralize satan completely with the TEN!

Nigeria is on the brink. We are dangerously perched on a dry, weak branch that can’t bear our weight. Those who are assuring us of safety and deliverance are themselves neither safe nor secure! They are reassuring us of what they themselves are not assured of! We have been brought into the hands of snakes, hawks, vultures and hyenas who have the ability to foolishly and rashly create wars but no capacity to stop wars once created!

But hear me, we are not at their MERCY! I used to think they are the ones who determine where our country heads! I used to think that what will happen to our Nation rests with them. But not so!

The TEN is the salvation FACTOR for the continued existence of Nigeria, not the president, the governors or the assembly members! The TEN is the Decider! For our Nation, the Ten determines what satan can or can’t do to us as a people!

God is not counting on the politicians to steer our Nation out of the dark waters into which we have been brought. For the most, they can change parties but they can’t change their mindset under the influence of the demonic world. For the most part, we are actually dealing with people who are only concerned with their parties winning election but unbothered whether their candidates are builders or looters! These are not our HOPE! The TEN is the issue! The TEN is the key to our survival as a Nation!

“FOR THE TEN’S SAKE I will not destroy it”

The TEN! Ten who can stand before God for our land, Ten who can give themselves to unrelenting cry for MERCY in God’s presence for our land; Just ten! Ten who will refuse to let satan have his way in our Nation, ten who are pleading with Abba Father through the Blood of the eternal covenant against the demons of religious zealotry, and against territorial forces of darkness that are holding our leaders by their throats and manipulating them to fulfilling hurtful agendas against our land.

God saved a nation because one man rose to reach for MERCY (Exodus 32)

God saved Nineveh because one man rallied the land to repentance (Jonah 3)

God saved a ship full of souls because one man who knew God reached for GRACE (Acts 27)

One man, David against Goliath. One man, Jonathan against the Philistine hosts; One man, Daniel against the wizards and sorcerers of Babylon! Three men, who broke through the blockade of the Philistine to restore the honour of a land! MEN AS THESE ARE THE TEN!

“FOR TEN’S SAKE I will not destroy it”

As we mark our 54th Independence and approach 2015 general election, if God looks at your direction would you be selected? Leave the politicians alone. Nigeria waits for YOU! BE THE TEN!

Yes, the TEN! The Ten before the LORD in deep and dangerous intercession! Not televised or social prayers. Not shows. Not comic, but Death for LIFE! PLEASE, LET’S BE THE 10 AMONG 167 MILLIONS POPULATION!!!

MENU FOR YOUR SOUL!!!

The word “soul” appears in the Bible about 496 times. Soul is what differentiates man from the other creatures of God. There is need for you to realize that God places a very high premium on your soul and it’s very precious in His sight. Let’s consider some facts about the soul.

ÖYour soul will never die (Genesis 2:7)

ÖYour soul will live eternally in Heaven or hell (John 5:29); (Psalm 9:17)

ÖThe soul that sinneth shall die (Ezekiel 18:4)

ÖJesus Christ died to pay the ransom for your soul (John 3:16); (Matthew 26:28)

ÖOnly the Converted, Cleansed, Redeemed and Regenerated soul can get to Heaven at the end of time (John 3:3-5); (Hebrews 12:14)

ÖPostponing the day of your salvation can lead to the loss of your soul eternally (2 Corinthians 6:2); (Hebrews 2:3)

ÖYour soul will receive either Justification or Condemnation at the end of life (Hebrews 9:27)

Dear Brothers And Sisters, the door of opportunity to reconcile with your Creator will not be forever opened; this is the right time to “Remember now thy Creator…” as tomorrow may be too late to make this all-time important decision- “…behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation” (2 Corinthians 6:2). Sincerely REPENT from every known sin in your life, confess them to God and forsake them now and accept Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Saviour while the door of His mercy is still opened and He will surely pardon you. Amen!
